White Bison in Moonlight

The Birth, Legend and Symbolism of the White Buffalo (American Bison) is a huge significance to the First Nations & Metis People. There are legends and stories that can be found throughout the teachings of the elders. However, you can find several of these stories on the internet.
The White Buffalo is in fact not an albino. It just happens to be a bison with white fur. Do they actually exist? Yes! Although super rare, and if you ever want to see one in your life time … the Assiniboine Park & Zoo in Winnipeg has one!  A couple years ago, I had the opportunity to visit this magnificent animal.
“The general meaning for Buffalo throughout the Plains was that of power, safety, strength, life’s sacredness, and durability. A white Buffalo is particularly important being an omen of unity, hope, and positive transformation”
