An incredible shift … Living off the land to surviving city life… … How did you get here?

My great-grandfather and grandfather lived and trapped off the land, near The Pas Manitoba. My grandfather’s land was taken in the 1930’s (court settlement finally came through almost 80’s later)… they were forced to the city, where their way of life was completely altered.

This Fox Portrait was inspired by a black & white photo I once saw of my grandmother as a child and my great-grandfather… holding a fox inside the pen on the homestead in 1915-1920 ….. They looked so happy.
